Diet and Healthy Lifestyle

Welcome you all to start a healthier lifestyle.

This article contains information about health and fitness which is completely my opinion and a few things I learned from other sources. I have also given a brief description below about my Detox Diet, which I will discuss in full in the coming days.

Everyday I see a lot of advertisements, web pages and books that screams about how important diet and exercise are. But then are we there yet? It is time to wake up and start a new life.

Dieting has become one of the most common ways to weight loss. While dieting is really important, at the same time it is important to watch if the required nutrition is obtained by your body. There are many diet plans in the market and it is our duty to choose which one will best suit us. While choosing a diet plan, it is also important to consider the things below.

It is essential that our diet plan doesn’t have an adverse effect on the health of a person. Only healthy diet helps one to lose weight gradually without becoming weak. If you are under nourished, you may have many kinds of side effects. Although you can lose weight by reducing your intake drastically or by consuming less or no carbs for a period of time, the weight loss will not be permanent. A person needs to be consuming the right amount of calories or a little lesser than that which keeps them active throughout the day. It is always better to consult your dietitian or your doctor before you start your diet.

Remember that your diet should not make you hungry always or make you stressed out. When you are hungry, your mind will be thinking of food all the time and you may not be able to concentrate on your work or studies. If you have so much of craving for food, it is hard to lose weight. So try not to under eat or over eat.

Carbohydrates, Protein, Minerals, Vitamins, Fat and water are the essential nutrients for human body. We should not compromise on these nutrients anytime. We can always consume less carbohydrate but not nill. Dieters has to consume a balanced diet. It is important not to skip any of your meal, specially your breakfast. This is common for all. Having breakfast will dramatically reduce your hunger and your intake when it is lunch time.

I cannot just stop with dieting, can I? Here comes the next important thing in your life. If you have a question “why is exercise important?”, that means, you don’t care about your health and fitness.

Regular exercise is necessary for good health. It reduces the risk of heart disease, diabetes and other diseases. Exercise is a key to control your weight and increase your metabolism. It enhances flexibility and improves your quality of life. Exercise at least three times a week for 30 minutes per session. If you are bored of walking in a treadmill or running in an elliptical, go out for walking with your friends or spouse. You can also join a fitness club which has group activities like Zumba dance, Yoga/Pilate, Spinning, etc. I am a member of YMCA and I get to to enjoy many of these classes for free with just a monthly membership fee.

Recently I started following a Detox Diet plan which was introduced to me by one of my friend. Though initially I was not so enthusiastic about sacrificing some of my favorite food, I wanted to do it to lose a few pounds. But the result is continuing to amaze me. I am not feeling hungry, I can workout everyday and I don’t feel weak.

The 28 days detox diet is a good start to cleanse your body from toxins we consume in our daily diet. This is a simple program that fits into any lifestyle. It is mainly Gluten free, Dairy free and Sugar free. Other details about this diet will be discussed in the coming post.

We will also share some gluten free, dairy free and sugar free recipes in the coming weeks.
