Tomato Rasam - Enjoy this Rasam with crispy Papadum. One of the simplest Rasam to make which can be served along with any dish.
Recipe Ingredients
* Water - 1 Litre
* Garlic - 25g
* Cumin Seeds (Jeera) - 25g
* Black Pepper - 20g
* Jaggery - 5g
* Lemon Wedges - 1
* Vegetable Oil - 30ml
* Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
* Curry Leaves - 25
* Tomato (chopped) - 500g
* Green Chillies - 2
* Red Chillies (whole) - 2
* Imli Water - 60ml
* Salt to taste
Preparation
First mis Jeera, black pepper and dry garlic together and make fine powder in a blender.
Take a pan and heat oil in it, once it is hot add mustard seeds, red chilli (whole) and curry leaves and saute till mustard seeds crackle.
Add chopped tomato and saute till tomatoes are soft. Then add sliced green chillis and add water. Boil for five minutes.
Then add imli water, salt, dry powder and jaggery. Boil for two more minutes. Finish with lemon juice. Strain and serve hot.
