Spicy Baby Potato Fry


I wanted to try the potato fry like Shriya’s Colacasia fry. I loved her colacasia fry. I made this potato fry by marinating the potatoes in the masala similar to her colacasia fry. To give variation I have added so many masalas and it gave a wonderful flavor. It will be tasty with rasam rice or curd rice. :)

Ingredients:

Baby potatoes – 24Red chilli powder – 3/4 tspCoriander powder -1/2 tspCumin powder – 1/2 tspGaram masala – 1 tspRed chilli flakes – 1 tspCrushed pepper – 1/2 tspDry Fenugreek leaves / kasoori methi – 1 tspGram flour / Besan flour – 2 tspGarlic powder – 1/4 tspSalt – to tasteOil – 2 tbspCumin seeds – 1/2 tspCurry leaves – a few

Method of Preparation:

Make a paste of red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, red chilli flakes, pepper powder, kasoori methi, besan flour, garlic powder and salt with little water.Boil the potatoes in a pressure cooker for one whistle and peel of the skin.Marinate the potatoes with the paste for 5 minutes.Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin seeds followed by the curry leaves.Fry the potatoes till they turn to golden brown.Spicy potatoes are ready.
