Methi Murg - A tasty and fenugreek (methi) flavoured chicken dish. Enjoy this with cooked rice and any curry dish like Mushroom Curry.
Recipe Ingredients
* Chicken (cut into pieces) - 1
* Fenugreek Leaves (methi) Fresh - 2 cups
* Cooking Oil - 1/2 cup
* Onions (finely sliced) - 3
* Tomatoes (chopped) - 250g
* Green Chillies (chopped) - 6
* Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tsp
* Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
* Salt to taste
Preparation
Take a big sized pan and heat oil in it. Once it is hot saute onions till they turn little brown.
Now add green chillies, ginger garlic paste, turmeic powder and suate for a few minutes. Add chicken and fenugreek leaves and cook till the water somewhat dries up.
Add salt, tomatoes and red chilli powder. Cook till the oil comes to the surface. Add just enough water to cook the chicken. Cook over medium low heat till the chicken is tender, leaving just a little gravy to coat the chicken.
Serve hot.
